It is established by the Texas Constitution, whose duties, prerequisites and fees of office are prescribed by the State Legislature. The County Clerk is Clerk for County Court at Law, County Court and Commissioners' Court and recorder of the county. |

The office is divided into these main departments: Vital Statistics, Recording/Deeds, Civil/Probate, and Criminal Misdemeanor. We record and preserve records pertaining to real property, personal records, including vital statistics, land titles, deeds, marriage licenses, assumed names and more. It is with great pleasure that I am able to say Thank You to the extraordinary efforts of the entire staff of the Walker County Clerk's office.The progress the past eight years have been amazing! I am especially grateful to the staff working diligently in analysis of procedures in work flow to expedite our service which has increased accountability in the collection of fees, information online as well as compliance with State and Local Government. While we can take great pride in how and what this office has achieved, our progress does not stop here. We are even more energized with what the future holds for our County Clerk's Office.
