Reserve Deputy Candidates

Candidates for reserve deputy must meet the same selection criteria as that of full time deputies.

Candidates for reserve deputy must reside within Walker County.

Prior to appointment, each reserve candidate must be licensed by TCLEOSE.

Reserve candidates are appointed as members of the reserve force by the Sheriff of Walker County.

Reserve deputies will absorb all costs associated with reserve academy training, licensing, uniforms, and required equipment.
