The Walker County Sheriff’s Department/Jail is currently accepting applications for the position of Jail Mechanic, salary group 106, salary range $43,442.00 to $51,031.00, plus benefits.
Job duties require fleet vehicle maintenance knowledge and experience. Related certifications and training is preferred. Additional duties include general building maintenance. Prior related work experience is required in both areas.
This position will supervise assigned inmates in the Walker County Jail and will require additional training and licensing through TCOLE. There will be an extensive background check and other security measures to insure safety in the Walker County Jail.
