Position Title: Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator assists the Emergency Management Coordinator with professional and technical support for the development, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of Walker County emergency management programs and operations. This position supports all phases of emergency management, with a focus on preparedness and response.
The Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator assists with emergency planning, interagency coordination, training and exercise support, disaster response operations, recovery coordination, public preparedness initiatives, emergency communications, and operational support activities. This position works closely with local departments, public safety agencies, state and federal partners, and community stakeholders to support countywide emergency management objectives.
