Communications Center Position Announcement

The Walker County Public Safety Communications Center is the central communications / public safety answering point for the City of Huntsville and County of Walker.  We provide E911 and dispatch services for all public safety agencies in our jurisdiction except for the SHSU Police Department. 

The Communications Center currently has no Public Safety Telecommunicator position available.   The starting salary for a Telecommunicator is $29,440 annually ($14.16 per hour). Contact Director Les Metzler for further information regarding a position as a telecommunicator/dispatcher.
